Action on Elder Abuse
Action on Elder Abuse (AEA) is a specialist organisation that operates across the four nations of the United Kingdom. Unlike other ‘older people’s organisations’ we focus exclusively on the issue of elder abuse, not as one issue among many, but as a single focus to our work. For this reason we have extensive expertise that is not available from any other charity or agency.
Ashiana Network seeks to empower South Asian, Turkish and Iranian women who are experiencing domestic abuse.
Abuse can be many different things.
It can be verbal, emotional, physical or sexual but it can also be less obvious and take the form of controlling behaviour.
Childline is a counselling service for children and young people up to their 19th birthday in the United Kingdom provided by the NSPCC.
They deal with any issues which cause distress or concern; some of the most common issues include child abuse, bullying, mental illness, parental separation or divorce, teenage pregnancy, substance misuse, neglect, and psychological abuse.
Crisis was formed in 1967, as an urgent response to the growing homelessness crisis.
Since then we have helped tens of thousands of people out of homelessness, and campaigned for change.
We are a charitable organisation whose mission is to prevent interpersonal violence, in particular domestic violence and abuse.
Our core activity is working with perpetrators to address the root causes of this.
We also provide advice, support and counselling to survivors of domestic abuse and violence.
Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation
IKWRO’s mission is to protect Middle Eastern and Afghan women and girls who are at risk of ‘honour’ based violence, forced marriage, child marriage, female genital mutilation and domestic violence and to promote their rights.
Jewish Women's Aid
Jewish Women’s Aid is the only specialist organisation in the UK supporting Jewish women and children affected by domestic abuse & sexual violence.
No Jewish woman should have to face this alone. We are here to help.
